Our President, Greg Sweigert, began his career in manufacturing
30 years ago. He has 25 years experience in the CNC (Computer
Numerically Controlled) machine tool world. M&E Values is located at its hub,
Chicago, Illinois. He has extensive knowledge in sales and valuation in
both the metalworking chip and fabrication sectors, having sold machine
tools since 1981.
Greg has owned a machine tool distributorship for 10
years and has been involved with several regional office startups and
turnarounds. One of his most recent accomplishments was the corporate
renewal of the service, parts, applications and training departments at
Finn Power International where he was Customer Service Manager and a
member of senior management. M & E Values, Inc. has recently joined
the Chicago Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association to assist
its corporate member firms that include investment bankers, law firms,
and consultancy practices in valuing and liquidating their client’s
machinery and equipment assets.
Over the years, Greg has accumulated a wealth of
contacts with literally thousands of small businesses in the precision
metalworking world. That bedrock of entrepreneurs in the manufacturing
community has undergone severe upheavals and supply chain restructuring
as the impact of outsourcing, trade policy, globalism, and state
regulation have taken their toll. He is an active member of the
Government Relations Committee of the Tooling and Manufacturing
Association, an association of 1,400 Illinois-based small precision metalworking
businesses. The Association has worked closely with state Senators Link
and Lauzen, who will co-sponsor an M & E exemption bill in the upcoming
session of the Illinois legislature.
Greg has written several articles on remote monitoring
and total productive maintenance, and has a high interest in unmanned
systems. Greg and his wife Carol are both midway through their M.B.A.
studies and reside in Mount Prospect, IL. |
