Greg Sweigert, our owner, has been operating, selling, and managing service of NC & CNC metalworking equipment since 1979. Years before incorporating M&E Values in 2002, he ran his own machine tool distributorship on the West Coast for 11 years, and then worked for a variety of machinery importers and builders. Since 1997 when he moved into fabrication arena, he has managed the Service, Parts and Logistics function for a Finnish multinational CNC turret press manufacturer, and more recently spent 5 years as General Manager of an English machine tool builder and importer. His over 30 years of experience in the machine tool sector, offers years of expertise to the customer to eliminate nasty surprises in transactions, especially when specifying and buying an offshore machine tool.
We can also assist with our specialized knowledge on CNC copper bus bar punches and benders, CNC turret presses, press brakes, shears, right angle punch/shears, and lasers. We help in determining the capacity of certain models of equipment, the necessary control options, the features involved in programming software and post processors, and the numerous styles of punching tooling configurations available. We provide the expertise necessary to discuss machine fitness to your application. For some of our builders we arrange pre-install documents, container intermodal arrangements, customs clearance, transportation to site, rigging, and final setup and training of personnel. Finally, we are also experienced in material handling automation that can be one of the biggest area of productivity gain. Today’s automatic load/unload devices, storage towers and automatic storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), along with robotics at press brakes are the part of the next generation of lights out manufacturing.
